MUSIC AFFECTS YOU

Studies show that playing and instrument and singing engage both side of the brain to be active, which causes the brain to be more capable of processing information! Also the genre of which music you are listening to can affect your mood greatly. According to:

If some one is feeling restless and they listen to fast moving music it gives you extra energy. I completely agree, when ever I am at the gym working out I rather listen to some house music or fast moving rock then to what I usually listen to. Also the rhythm of the music can make you either happy or sad. If Im listening to slow music it makes me a bit sad compared to more fast-paced music.

Music has been around supposedly since 150 BCE, possibly even further back in time. Music is all around us. If there was no music in life, I believe life would be dull and boring. What would a wedding or birthday party, or a club be like with out music? I don't even think there would be celebrations or any sorts of fun with out music. When ever I have nothing to do, I enjoy just sitting at home and playing my guitar or piano and sing along to the songs I am playing. When I am listening to music, I don't only just hear the tune. I listen to it, I play close attention to the lyrics and analyze them. I look for a greater meaning. Music can move you by just the tune, but I take it further then that. The lyrics are meaning full too. They express the artists thoughts. A song is like poetry being narrated with a sound effect in the back round. I preferably enjoy listening to Indie music, but I am very open minded to different types of genres. But if a song has no lyrical significance I cannot stand to listen to it. Unless tunejust makes me want to sway or dance.

Music is a way for a person to get away from reality. I know most people out there rather just listen to their ipod instead of listening to their parents bickering at them. I know thats how I am. Your feeling depressed or what not, what do you do? You listen to some music. Possibly sad music so you can cry to it and release your emotions, or some jolly music to boost up your mood. I believe the music does soothe the soul. It makes your mind travel to a different place full of deep thoughts.
